The European Institute for Law is a food law knowledge centre. We create, collect and share food legal know-how through research and teaching, publication and consultancy.

Our purpose is to advance the level of expertise on food law and regulatory compliance.

The field of food law feels alien to many. It is too legal for food experts too technical for lawyers. We provide the bridge. We make you confident!

The European Institute for Food Law is a non-profit foundation aiming to advance the level of expertise and knowledge on food law, at national level, European level as well as global level.

The European Institute for Food Law started its operations as an independent non-profit Foundation on 4 April 2004.

The European Institute is registered at the Chamber of Commerce in Arnhem (the Netherlands) at number: 09142149.
